Did you know that for those of us living in Cuenca, we could have been living in Peru? The battle of Tarqui was a deciding battle. Join us for an amazing history journey where we will bring to life, many of the famous people you see street's named after here in Cuenca. We will be joined by representatives from the Military and Giron's museum who will give you an unforgettable journey through one of the most pivotal times in Cuenca's history. We will meet at the foundation for breakfast at 9 am. We will then tour the battle grounds at the Portete de Tarqui and then go to the Museo Casa de los Tratados (treaties) where the treaties were signed. We promise it will be an unforgettable and inspirational experience that will enhance your experience living here. One tidbit, did you know the president of Peru at that time was a Cuencano? After your journey, we will relax at Antaño restaurant for an amazing BBQ lunch and be entertained by musicians. This is an all-inclusive trip and all meals and activities are included.
